African Wild Dogs
African wild dogs or "painted dogs" are red listed by CITES on Appendix II (not traded). Their numbers were severely depleted bordering on extinction in 80s and 90s however are slowly coming back from extinction due to a multitude of organisations playing a superb role in protecting them all over Southern Africa.
